November 1, 2021, Harrisburg, Pa. – Commonwealth Foundation, Pennsylvania’s free-market think tank, today announces that Jennifer Stefano has been promoted to the position of Executive Vice President. Her appointment took effect on Oct. 1.
In this position, Stefano is charged with guiding both the organization’s day-to-day progress and long-term strategic planning.
Stefano has proven a unique ability to foster significant organizational growth during her five years at Commonwealth Foundation. “Jennifer has been an invaluable partner to me for the last five years in building, growing, and scaling the Commonwealth Foundation,” said Commonwealth Foundation President and CEO Charles Mitchell. “Her enormous talents and indefatigable energy are essential ingredients in helping our fellow Pennsylvanians by creating public policies that allow all to flourish. I am delighted for her to assume this new role.”
Prior to joining the Commonwealth Foundation, Stefano served in numerous leadership roles at Americans for Prosperity and Americans for Prosperity Foundation. She spent most of her career in the private sector, putting to work her business degree from Villanova University.
A native of Philadelphia, Jennifer is a regular commentator for The Hill and The Philadelphia Inquirer. Her work has been published in numerous media outlets including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and FoxNews.com. She has been profiled by The Washington Post, The International Herald Tribune, Forbes, and other local and national publications. In 2015, Jennifer was named one of the Claremont Institute’s Lincoln Fellows for her work and impact on national affairs. She is currently a visiting fellow with the Independent Women’s Forum. She also serves on the Advisory Council for the Women’s Leadership Program at George Washington University.
