Liquor Store Privatization

about

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board was created in 1933 at the end of Prohibition.  Its purpose has never been wholly clear: it sells alcohol but claims to discourage drinking.  It has a monopoly but is barely profitable.  It has the power to offer bargain prices but it doesn’t.  The PLCB has a muddled mission and it benefits nobody except itself.  It should be privatized.
