Melanie has been an executive assistant for many years, mostly in the corporate world, with companies such as D.R. Horton and Verizon.  She and her husband have also owned their own business for several years.  Melanie feels blessed to live in America, the best country in the history of the world.  She is excited to be a part Commonwealth Foundation, where she can make a positive contribution to Pennsylvania and the country. 

Melanie currently resides in Georgia, where she has spent most of her life.  She loves spending time with her husband, two teenagers and her spoiled Chihuahua.  She enjoys Broadway musicals, photography, concerts and being involved in her church.

Melanie is a court appointed advocate for abused children and works with foster children in her free time.
