Kelsey Philie is the Director of Marketing at the Commonwealth Foundation. Prior to joining the Commonwealth Foundation, she served as the director of communications at the Foundation for Government Accountability, where she served as lead writer and editor and managed the organization’s content production. She started her career in free-market policy in the bluest state in the nation while serving as the director of communications at the Grassroot Institute of Hawaii in Honolulu.
Kelsey holds a bachelor’s degree in political science with a focus in communications from Villanova University. Her writing has been published in the Hill, the Washington Examiner, and Stars and Stripes, and she has executed communications strategies, branding, and website design for companies in industries ranging from wellness to non-profits. A proud military spouse, she is passionate about giving back to our nation’s military and Gold Star families.
Kelsey currently resides in Georgetown, Texas with her husband, son, and chocolate lab. A native of Pittsburgh, she is a die-hard hockey fan, a workout junkie, and an avid reader.
