Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Eric graduated from Clarion University with degrees in history and philosophy.  He obtained his MA in philosophy from the University of Missouri. Prior to joining Commonwealth Foundation, Eric worked for the Charles Koch Foundation, America’s Future Foundation, and the Institute for Humane Studies.  

In his spare time, Eric enjoys building things with wood, trying different craft beer, and watching the greatest team on earth, the Pittsburgh Steelers. He lives in Allegheny County with his wife, two young children, and one overly energetic dog.
